“Proponents of Spinelli’s concept actually aim to construct a superstate that would be governed by an oligarchic system. (…) The rest of the people would simply be subordinate to this system. In such a model, citizens are ultimately deprived of their property. So they have the use of various assets, means of transport, bicycles, cars, houses, but without ownership. This property will ultimately belong to corporations and oligarchic systems,” says Prof. Zbigniew Krysiak, Chairman of the Program Board of the Schuman Institute.
wPolityce.pl: Where did the idea come from in Brussels that the budget amendment should include, among other things, the following elements: aid for Ukraine ‘attached’ with three new taxes?
Prof. Zbigniew Krysiak: In fact, the Brussels treasuries are empty. This already turned out to be the case with the so-called Reconstruction Fund. Brussels does not have its own income. So he has to take out loans. And that is not easy, because these loans are provided by large banking consortia. Interest rates have increased and the cost of these funds has increased significantly.
There are no resources to pay KPO, not only for Poland, but in general. Taxes should be a way to save the image. To show that the European Union is prosperous. And in practice? The king is naked.
All these measures – both from the so-called The Reconstruction Fund, as well as the funds offered to Ukraine, will have to be repaid by the individual countries. As far as the reconstruction funds are concerned, half of them consist of loans. But the other half is not free money either, because it has to be paid back by individual countries. Precisely in the form of taxes we are talking about.
So far, these taxes have been very difficult for Brussels to enforce. The story was that the other half of the KPO funds were free funds. However, the truth is different: there are no free funds. This was a tactic used to put pressure on Member States to mobilize them to contribute to the Brussels treasury. A good solution to this problem was for the EU to show: Ukraine needs it, so we have to mobilize.
So new taxes under the guise of a noble cause, namely help for Ukraine? So a country that doesn’t agree to taxes will be accused of not wanting to help Ukraine, even though it has been helping the country continuously since the start of the war?
Ukraine undoubtedly needs this money. If it does not defend itself, we will have an increasingly aggressive Russia towards our country.
However, the purpose of this German tactic, implemented by Brussels, is to consolidate this system. So that these taxes are not one-off, but to finance aid to Ukraine. Moreover, Kiev will also have to sign a contract requiring it to repay these funds. Or German and Dutch companies will demand that Ukraine return various factories and assets to them.
The idea is to centralize taxes – and this is Spinelli’s strategy to build a super state. They mainly want to centralize these taxes on CO2 emissions. This has been talked about before.
The bottom line, however, is that we are dealing with a different mechanism for implementing Spinelli’s superstate, depriving individual countries of any mechanism or ability to govern their own countries.
PiS MPs warned during yesterday’s press conference that this type of policy would mainly cause losses for the poorer and smaller EU countries.
Robert Schuman strongly protested against Altiero Spinelli’s superstate concept, pointing out that it would destroy the quality of the social model and the economy. According to Schuman, the implementation of this model would entail not only the destruction of sovereignty, patriotism, diversity and tradition, but also the removal of institutions. There would remain regions where people only consume and produce, but in fact do not even manage their own homes. Proponents of Spinelli’s concept actually aim to construct a superstate that would be governed by an oligarchic system. The oligarchs who own all the assets and the solidarity between these oligarchs. The rest of the people would simply be subordinate to this system. In such a model, citizens are ultimately deprived of their property. So they have the use of various assets, means of transport, bicycles, cars, houses, but without ownership. This property will ultimately belong to corporations and oligarchic systems. Please note that imposing this carbon tax on house building, construction and reconstruction will result in the vast majority of citizens being unable to afford it for financial reasons. This will be done with the money of some oligarchic entities and such properties will be mortgaged, so to speak. Let’s assume that the value of such a house will be PLN 200,000, and the reconstruction that meets the conditions, the so-called ecological, it will also cost PLN 200,000. So a mortgage is taken out, so there is a kind of expropriation. Just like with a mortgage loan: if the consumer does not pay it back, the bank takes over ownership.
This all sounds quite disturbing…
This is what it will look like unless a significant resistance mechanism is created.
Thank you very much for the interview.
