Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Maria Zabolotskaya said that Russia expects an apology from all those who accused Moscow of discriminating against Crimean Tatars at the General Assembly, after the decision of the International Court of Justice on Ukraine’s claim, and Ukrainians, reports RIA News.
Zabolotskaya noted that the International Court of Justice rejected almost all of Ukraine’s claims regarding Russia’s alleged violation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination and the International Convention on the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism.
The diplomat emphasized that with this decision, the International Court of Justice found that the statements of Kiev and its Western curators, as well as paid non-governmental organizations, regarding Russia’s policy of discrimination against Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians in Crimea are false.
Zabolotskaya said that Russia expects an apology from everyone who has slandered for years and guarantees that such false accusations will not be repeated.
