We’re having a bad, hard time. Violence rules, not the law. The government simply ‘occupies’ the institutions it considers independent. Through violence and provocation, the signal of truly Polish television is switched off and the archives are purged of everything that the Polish raison d’être brought forward. Symbols of Polish history are torn from the walls of public buildings.
Moreover, German media outlets published for Poland happily publish “commentaries from the German press,” calling on the authorities to use the full force of the police state and abandon constitutional principles – all in the name of destroying the circles that had the courage to lead to Polish ambition and Polish effectiveness.
They fall into public spaces shameful wordsintended to intimidate the elites and social circles that represent the camp that has governed Poland well for eight years, the democratic camp that recognized the election results and transferred power peacefully and smoothly.
The president’s powers are being questioned and plans are being made publicly to remove him from office before the end of his term.
We need a major social mobilization Getting MPs out of prison (sic!) the main opposition group.
These times require character and courage, but also solidarity, connecting people, analysis of the situation and wise reflection. In every area of our social life.
It is therefore with great pleasure that I inform you that v Academy of Social and Media Culture in ToruńA symposium was held on Saturday in the presence of several hundred viewers from all over Poland and abroad “Faces of the Media” where a scientific and practical analysis of the situation on the media market was carried out.

We meet here not just to look at each other, but to recharge our batteries and renew the face of the earth. Let everyone consider what I can do in truth and love. This is also what the media should serve.
– said Father Dr. at the opening Tadeusz Rydzyk CSSR, director and founder of Radio Maryja and TV Trwam, prof. AKSiM.
He emphasized that one should also enter social media wisely, with good will and a good conscience.
Too often we sin through negligence. We tell them what to do, what needs to be done, and we do nothing ourselves. I remember it from the beginning of Radio Maryja, when several people came and said: Father, please do this again. And I say: get started! No jokes here. Why is there so much evil? For the good is silent, because many have buried their heads in the sand
– the priest emphasized.
Dr. Janusz Kawecki, former member of the National Broadcasting Council, spoke about the instructions to journalists by John Paul II, but also about the need to exert social pressure on the largest commercial media to adhere to the law and good habits.
Editor Anita Gargas addressed the price that honest, courageous journalists pay for seeking the truth.
After publishing our materials, the second chapter of our struggle begins. We can blindly assume that no matter how strong the evidence we have, no matter how well documented our investigation, the black hero of our story will accuse us.
- she said. It is worth paying attention to the issue of bias of some judges, which is visible and palpable from the moment they enter the courtroom.
Director of the Press Freedom Monitoring Center of the Association of Polish Journalists, Ph.D Jolanta Hajdasz discussed the intimidation of journalists with lawsuits designed to create a chilling and paralyzing effect. A Polish specificity is the use of this method by the largest commercial media, which in this way try to silence critical descriptions of their activities and enforce a complete monopoly on shaping public opinion.
The editor talked about the influence of department children on modern times and current politics. Dorota Kania. Co-author of the book “Resort Kids. “Media” pointed out specific examples, including examples from the media world.
You know the department children on TVN: Monika Olejnik, Andrzej Morozowski, but also Tomasz Sianecki. Finally, my discovery from last year, because it interested me that so little was known about Ms. Katarzyna Kiela, the head of TVN. Her father, registered as a secret employee, was so important to the communist intelligence that they let him work where? To the intelligence center. There he worked as an engineer, which earned him the confidence of the security services. His daughter is now the ruler of the spirits, she rules at TVN
– emphasized the editor. Dorota Kania.
The editor talked about the three dominant categories of media workers (fools, opportunists and agents) who are waging war against the Polish camp. Jakub Maciejewski, columnist of the weekly magazine “Sieci” and the portal wPolityce.pl, war correspondent in Ukraine. The topic of his lecture is ‘How to defend conservative values in the world of liberal media.’
Above all, don’t give up. We can do it!
– emphasized Maciejewski.
Journalists from Radio Maryja and TV Trwam, graduates of AKSiM, also spoke during the meeting: Ewelina Wiśniewska, Piotr Krupa, Jakub Więcław, Michał Rybkaas well as an editor Rafal Stefaniuk from Our Journal. The conversation was interestingly moderated by Dr Klaudia Rosinska.
It is worth analyzing these statements and keeping in mind an important signal from Toruń: don’t whine, work! “Why is there so much evil? Because goodness is silent, because many have buried their heads in the sand.
It is also worth noting that in difficult times, free Poles and Catholics can count on Toruń’s works, which were created with such talent by the director’s father Tadeusz Rydzyk and the people he gathered. It is clear that not a single zloty donated by the Poles was wasted; everything benefits Poland. The Academy of Social and Media Culture in Toruń itself is a study place worth considering for young people.
Besides, if other centers were to extract at least some of the energy that Toruń radiates for Poland and the Church, we would all be in a different situation.
