Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik are guests of Marek Pyza and Marcin Wikła in the program “In the center of events” on Telewizja wPolsce.pl. Politicians were pardoned by President Andrzej Duda on Tuesday. On the 21st they left the prisons in Radom and Przytuły Stare, where they staged a hunger protest. Kamiński and Wąsik emphasize that they will fulfill their parliamentary mandate. We invite you to the report on the website wPolityce.pl!
We would like to thank everyone who was with us. Thank the journalists, thank everyone who demonstrated in the streets of Warsaw on January 11 and those who came to the prisons. For those who were with us every day from 6 p.m., I was even able to see through the plexiglass a little. Thank you to everyone who gave us hope and encouragement, who just stood in the cold and in the wind and was with us every day. This was very important. Thank you to everyone who wrote letters. We received several hundred letters and postcards. Some of them will probably end up in prison after our release and handed over to us, but it was a big deal
– emphasized Maciej Wąsik.
We felt like free people. We would like to thank everyone with whom we prayed, we would like to thank the entire Radio Maryja Family with whom we prayed. Thank you to everyone who believed in us and sent us their support
– added Wąsik.
It was extraordinary. Every day at 6 p.m. I opened the window between the bars and heard the powerful voices of people supporting us. They were ordinary people. Our amazing women told us they were regular people, not activists. Of course there were our friends, parliamentarians, but there were also ordinary people, Poles, moved by what was happening. It was a great moral support for us. It gave us a strong feeling. Every day at 6 p.m. snow, frost – there were people there singing, shouting – we heard it. It was extraordinary, wonderful. We received nice letters from people, also from outside Poland. Thank you very much for these nice words addressed to us, it was encouraging. We need to thank our amazing women who fought so hard for us. We didn’t know they were that strong. To be honest, when I knew we were going to be detained and put in jail, I was a little scared about how they would survive. They survived. My son Maciej has small children, they probably suffered too
– said Mariusz Kamiński.
