Mariusz Kamiński was released from prison in Radom, and Maciej Wąsik from prison in Przytuły Stare. This is the result of the decision of President Andrzej Duda, who today announced the application of the law of pardon to both politicians, this time on the basis of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
You are great. Thank you with all my heart
– he said Mariusz Kaminski.
It is only thanks to you that you did not agree to this evil. I would like to thank my dear wife and son. (…) I am willing to continue fighting. (…) This battle continues, but we will certainly win. Mr. Tusk, Mr. Hołownia, we will see each other soon
– added.
Mariusz Kamiński and his wife drove away from prison by car.
After leaving prison, Maciej Wąsik said in his first words:
I prayed and said the rosary every day, thank you very much. Please tell me, is Mariusz free now too?
Protest in front of the prison in Radom
Barbara Kamińska, wife of Mariusz Kamiński, is at the scene and has asked for information about her husband’s situation.
You must immediately release Mariusz Kamiński from prison
– she said Barbara Kamińska. She said she thought Mariusz Kamiński’s release would be a matter of a few minutes.
The protest participants sang the Polish national anthem as they waited for Mariusz Kamiński to be released from prison.
Decision of the court
Former head of the CBA, Ernest Bejda, informed those gathered in front of the prison in Przytuły Stare, where Maciej Wąsik is imprisoned, that the court had made a decision to release prisoners: M. Kamiński and M. Wąsik from prison .
As Bejda told PAP, the decision was issued by the court that decided to place them in prisons: the Warsaw-Śródmieście District Court. The decision was – as he said – sent electronically to the prison in Przytuły Stare.
It must be implemented immediately
– Bejda emphasized.
