I would like the next local government elections to be a warning signal to those in power, a strong sign that they do not agree with the lawlessness that is taking place, former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki (PiS) said in Łęczna on Friday.
During a meeting with residents of the starosty in Łęczna, Morawiecki summarized the last years of his rule. As he said, one of the things he is most proud of is the development of infrastructure and decreased unemployment. He also referred to the future and objectives of PiS for the coming years, criticizing the actions of the current government.
I would very much like these next local government elections to be some kind of warning signal to those in power, a strong sign of disagreement with what is happening there, with the fraud that is already taking place there, with the lawlessness that exists there. happens.
– said the former Prime Minister. According to him, the promises announced by the ruling coalition are ‘not very well implemented’.
“The Polish people wanted to give us a yellow card, but gave us a red one.
Referring to the results of the parliamentary elections, he said that “the Polish nation wanted to give us a yellow card, but instead gave us a red card.” He asked the public to give “at least an orange or red card” to the current government in the upcoming elections, to express their opposition to the current policies.
Against the fact that there should have been Europe, but it is becoming another Belarus (…), so that this resistance can be heard and louder
– added the PiS-MP.
When asked by the audience where the lists of PiS candidates for local governments will be approved – at the party’s provincial level or in Warsaw – he answered that at lower levels.
What do we know at the headquarters of the Law and Justice party about who is the most suitable candidate in the municipality? This arises from structures at provincial and district level
– he pointed out.
We will certainly approve the lists of the regional councils and we will look at each list there, because the most important elections for us – through the prism of which we will judge whether or not we have achieved another Pyrrhic victory or even a defeat – are the elections for the regional councils.
– said Morawiecki.
Referring to the actions of the ruling coalition, he pointed out that there was reconciliation and harmony, but instead there was growing hatred. According to him, the government is violating the law ‘absolutely shamelessly’.
Instead of expanding the sphere of freedom, instead of – as they say – restoring the principles of democracy, we have something that for the purposes of the present moment, months, I called democracy, i.e. there are elements of state diktat, state dictatorship, combined with apparently binding democratic mechanisms.
– Morawiecki emphasized.
