Gross violation of the law
Actions against the public media were one of the topics of discussion between President Andrzej Duda and Donald Tusk.

Minister Sienkiewicz, acting on the basis of a resolution of the Sejm, which was by no means a generally applicable law, carried out individual actions against public media bodies in violation of the law and the Constitution. An attack by Tusk’s team on the public media
On December 19, the Sejm adopted a resolution on the restoration of rule of law and the impartiality and reliability of the public media and the Polish Press Agency, calling on the Ministry of Finance to take corrective measures. After the presidential veto, the head of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage decided to liquidate TVP, Polskie Radio and PAP on December 27. The Minister of Culture made a similar decision on December 29 regarding 17 regional companies of Polish Radio.
January 9 this year the Registry Court rejected the request to enter a change in the data relating to TVP in the National Court Register. The decision on the appointment of members of the supervisory board and the decision of the supervisory board on the appointment of the board of directors were adopted by an unauthorized body – according to Registrar Tomasz Kosub.
