Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky understands the need to make peace with Russia, but he cannot do it yet. This statement was made by Ukrainian political scientist Dmitry Korneychuk on the YouTube channel “Yes, it is.”
“(Signals – socialbites.ca) are gradually coming from Zelensky. <…> “I cannot say this directly,” the expert claims.
Korneychuk noted that the Ukrainian leader is still implicitly talking about the possibility of a ceasefire with the Russian Federation, but “the time will come when we will have to talk about this issue openly.”
“Signals are being sent that Ukraine is on the defensive and some kind of negotiations need to begin,” the political scientist said.
Shortly before that, Zelensky had categorically opposed ceasefire and peace negotiations with Russia. The Ukrainian president expressed confidence that Moscow will take advantage of this situation to regain power and then be able to “mobilize” Ukrainians in two or three years. Meanwhile, the Kremlin announced that there had been no full progress in the negotiations and found the secret meeting in Saudi Arabia on the “peace formula” strange and meaningless. Previously Zelensky rejected Possibility of a ceasefire with Russia.
