I was at the Free Poland protest.
Less than a month after the new government was sworn in, after everything that had happened in Poland at the time, after Donald Tusk’s unlawful attacks on the state, the media and honest people, I thought I would see a lot of anger and frustration, maybe even hatred at today’s demonstration? After all, this would be a normal human reaction to the level of killing we have been dealing with in recent days.
I haven’t had any of these reactions.
What I saw on the streets of Warsaw was above all love for Poland, a sense of pride and hope that it could be better and stronger than that after December 13. I saw people traveling by bus all over Poland to be with other Poles and to show how much they love their home country.
No, it wasn’t just retirees. I saw families, students, even our compatriots who had lived outside Poland for years, who for this one day, despite the cold, decided to travel thousands of kilometers to manifest unity.
They didn’t do it out of interest, but out of love and a sense of solidarity. There is nothing more moving than the image of ordinary people who love sincerely.
As we have already realized, the Polish media of the Third Polish Republic will lie about them, and the Western media will ignore the fact that so many people took to the streets in Warsaw.
It’s not important.
These are people who are a force that no one can defeat.
Those who fear them know this all too well. And that’s why they have nothing to say about them but lies.
