PAP’s reports that the Speaker of the Sejm announced tomorrow the start of consultations in the case of Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik after the Supreme Court’s Chamber for Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs overturned Hołownia’s decisions to revoke their immunity, did not go unnoticed on social media. “The ground under the marshal’s feet started to burn,” PiS MP Mariusz Błaszczak said on Platform X.
The Marshal of the Sejm wants consultations on the expiry of the parliamentary mandates of Kamiński and Wąsik. Tomorrow at September 9, the Marshal has a scheduled meeting with the Secretary of Justice, Attorney General Adam Bodnar. He will then speak with the Commissioner for Human Rights, Marcin Wiącek
Among those who commented on the need for a second person in the country to consult on the decisions they make is the president of the PiS Parliamentary Club, Mariusz Błaszczak.
Błaszczak responds to Hołownia’s statements
That’s logic. First make an illegal decision that is contrary to the Supreme Court ruling and then consult on it
– he assessed.
The ground beneath the marshal’s feet began to burn. The only way out of this situation is to allow MPs Kamiński and Wąsik to exercise their mandate and apologize
– former head of the Ministry of National Defense advises Hołownia.
Unfortunately, being a marshal isn’t the same as being the prankster from “Got Talent”
– he decides.
According to information from the Polish Press Agency, Szymon Hołownia plans more meetings and consultations. A meeting and discussion between the Chairman of the Sejm and retired judges is also planned for Monday afternoon, while Hołownia will meet with the Chairman of the National Electoral Commission, Sylwester Marciniak, on Tuesday morning.
