US House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson said that US lawmakers have not yet made a decision on launching an impeachment investigation against US President Joe Biden. This was reported by TASS.

According to Johnson, the US presidential administration is refusing to provide requested documents and some witnesses that would help determine “exactly what happened.”

Therefore, the House of Representatives’ approval of the resolution calling for further impeachment investigations against Biden was, in Johnson’s words, “a necessary step.”

He emphasized that this was not a predetermined decision because Congress had not concluded that impeachment proceedings would be initiated.
