Power in Poland is currently in the hands of a junta, although it started with a democratic electoral mandate. They no longer have it after removing the item. 7 and 10 of the constitution.
I don’t think anyone who hasn’t lost his mind over the lawlessness of the current government and its political base has any doubt that there is tyranny in Poland. Not that we will have it, we already have it. The moment Donald Tusk’s government and his political base denied Article 7 of the Constitution (they simply flushed it down the toilet), we are already in a world of lawlessness , authoritarianism and slavery. Article 7 states: “Public authorities shall act on the basis and within the limits of the law.” They will not be operational as of December 19, 2023.
In general, the Constitution doesn’t work and the laws don’t work. Only the executive power is active and subordinate to all others, which is clearly contrary to Article 10 of the Constitution (section 1): “The system of the Republic of Poland is based on the division and balance of the legislative power, the executive power and the judiciary. .” Poland has not been a democratic country for about three weeks. You can call it tyranny, you can call it a dictatorship, you can call it an authoritarian system. Which directly means that the perpetrators of this state of affairs cannot be brought to justice alone , but also have to be brought, and probably even before a special tribunal.
A line has been crossed that means that after an electoral defeat, this team can no longer safely transfer power on democratic terms, because that would mean going to court and then to prison. And no, there was no precedent. This is the first tyranny after 1989 and the government of Donald Tusk is exercising authoritarian power. So we can rightly speak of a junta. Yes, power in Poland is currently in the hands of a junta, although it started with an electoral mandate. But not a mandate for the junta, but for the civilian government.
The proposal for tyranny was formulated on January 4, 2024 on the Interia website by Rafał Woś. He wrote, among other things:
“The path of strength, revenge and responsibility will be too easy. And the belief in one’s own moral righteousness is too sweet and intoxicating. And then it will be too late. After that there is no way back. (…) Nobody (or almost nobody) is keeping an eye on the new government. PiS had powerful foreign forces against it – the European Union, liberal Western media, Soros’ network. And there is a strong opposition in the country, supported by the media and opinion-forming elites. Paradoxically, it served PiS. This made them stand upright. (…) AntyPiS does not have this. Neither foreign countries will take care of them, nor the liberal media, including Agnieszka Holland. And after the takeover of PiS’s public media, these fuses will be even less. And this is the drama of our new rulers. This is their curse. This already makes them tyrants. Real – not imaginary. And insanely dangerous.”
I would like to remind you that on December 21, 2023, similar conclusions to those of Rafał Woś were drawn by political scientist Dr. Michał Kuź and on the same December 21 by the undersigned. The convergence of assessments is not surprising, because anyone who does not have black pudding for a brain will easily notice that no government in Poland after 1989, apart from the current one, has crossed the line between tyranny and authoritarianism. Dr. Michał Kuź wrote on the X platform on December 21, 2023:
“Democracy is a system in which parties lose elections and give up power. “I am very afraid that things have gone too far and that the current ruling coalition will not be able to give up power under any circumstances.”
The undersigned put it this way on December 21, 2023:
“They will not back down. They have crossed the line beyond which there is no return. (…) They, that is to say the current government and the parliamentary majority, have broken the law in Poland so badly that as soon as they give up power they have to go to prison. And they know it. Therefore, they will engage in more and more murderous acts and more and more brutal violations of the law and the Constitution. They know they can no longer give up power, which means the only choice is dictatorship.”
And that’s exactly what they do.
History tells us that all dictatorships and tyrannies begin by crossing the line of law in such a place that there is no turning back and no sense of security. Therefore, they must hold society ever more firmly in their control and maintain power with ever more brutal methods. If they relinquish power, they must take into account penalties and prison sentences. That is why this is the first government after 1989 to find itself in a situation where a peaceful transfer of power is no longer an option. But it will get worse.
The rulers can only be saved by martial law, a dictatorship that does not hold elections or in a farcical, fraudulent version, and finally – a coup or some kind of coup. This means that over the next four years there will be tightening of the screws, repression and various forms of violence. The dictatorship has no choice, because they themselves will not appear before a special tribunal. Of course, the nation can force them to appear before the tribunal, but this would cross another line, that is, a kind of general uprising. A solution would be to reset everything, i.e. new parliamentary elections. And then, as planned, the local government elections, the European elections and finally the presidential elections (in 2025). This tyranny can be stopped, but time is running out. If the reset doesn’t happen soon, it will only create a dictatorship that will rot for years and become increasingly pathetic.
