The European Union as an institution, and especially the European Parliament, will enter 2024 with numerous scandals. The largest of these is the so-called The Qatar Scandal. The name is completely unjustified, because it is more about the Brussels scandal, but about what is not being done to distort reality. This is what Eurocrats do best, so even though a year has passed since the bribery scandal and arrests came to light, Brussels society is doing great, and the MEPs accused of greed have dusted themselves off, wiped their saliva and stepped up as if nothing had happened. They are right: they belong to their own people, in the company of the same bribers as them, the only difference being that they were caught with bags of money.

What I wrote could be a journalistic thesis, but it is not. At least that is evident from the testimony of the main suspects – former MEP and head of the Human Rights Committee in the European Parliament, socialist veteran Antonio Panzeri and his assistant, and later also the assistant and lover of the Vice President of the European Union. Parliament Eva Kaila – Francesco Giorgi. As the investigation revealed, in addition to the suspects – arrested and later released MEPs – the aforementioned Kaila, Marc Tarabella and Andrea Cozzolino, at least six others in Parliament are involved in the scandal.

For the sake of order, we would like to briefly remind you what the Brussels, so-called Qatar scandal is about.

Well, countries like Qatar, Morocco and Mauritania have used bribes to parliamentarians to win the favor not only of Parliament itself, but of the entire EU (for example the issue of visa-free travel between Qatar and the EU) and the action of Brussels institutions on their behalf. Sometimes this may involve hostile activities by the EU, aimed at specific countries. For example, Qatar paid for the EU to act at the expense of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, and Morocco targeted Algeria.

At least 4 million euros had to be collected in envelopes or bags with euro bribes. They even offered the Sakharov Prize for Trade – the EU’s highest award for activities in favor of human rights, the Nobel Peace Prize.

Eurocrats of the mafia, NGOs and Lenin

To transact business in Parliament, but also in other EU institutions, a whole network had to operate, which consisted of many more people than those whose names were made public. The testimonies of Panzeri and Giorgi show that this concerns at least a dozen more people: EU officials and six MEPs. Brussels and the investigators are not disclosing the names of those who accuse Panzeri and Giorgi with their testimonies. Panzeri himself called the officials and members of the European Parliament who worked with him ‘soldiers’ and ‘useful idiots’.

The first term can refer to conscious members of an organized criminal group. Panzeri is Italian and may have used the Mafia nomenclature. The second category, from Lenin’s term for fools who helped Soviet communists, are idiots who unknowingly acted for the benefit of bribers. According to Giorgi’s testimony, Panzeri had to win the favor of EU idiots by patronizing him, granting various favors, but also by arranging affairs and sexual adventures.

The socialist also had to inspire confidence as head and founder of the most influential non-governmental human rights organization in Brussels – Fight Impunity. The council included: former EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, former French Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve, former European Commissioner for Migration Dimitris Avramopoulos and former Italian Senator and Foreign Minister Emma Bonino.

It is known that NGOs, which supposedly work for charity or for the public good, are an excellent costume for carrying out criminal activities. Examples include criminal groups called NGOs that smuggle and traffic people under the guise of caring for immigrants, or eco-terrorists and lobbyists disguised as conservationists. Of course, these NGOs not only have conscious criminals, but also their useful idiots.

Idiots and soldiers had to accept bribes of up to PLN 250,000 from Panzeri, as the main player. euros, or for example 20 thousand worth of watches and similar gifts.

And soldiers and idiots continue to function peacefully in the EU institutions. That is why we wrote that the released Members of the European Parliament returned to Parliament and found themselves among their own people. In Brussels it is known who these soldiers and useful idiots are, but no one cares about them, no one fires anyone, no one condemns them. It is not even certain that we will know these names before the European Parliament elections in June. So maybe idiots and bribers will participate again.

Neither the European Parliament nor the Commission comments on the bribery scandal. Everything is dismissed with smooth statements that the EU institutions will make no comment as long as the investigation is ongoing, but strongly condemn the corruption. As long as it lasts, there can be no unfounded accusations unsupported by evidence. However, this could apply to soldiers – conscious participants in bribery in the European Parliament.

However, investigations and lawsuits are not necessary to release idiots who are susceptible to manipulation. However, if you are already a member of the Eurocrat caste, you apparently won’t lose a hair on your head. Especially because it can also be about hacks – who has what from whom and knows what. Moreover, if such an official or such an idiot Member of the European Parliament provided services to Panzeri, perhaps he also provided services to others. In other words, it can be reusable.

Investigations in Brussels, especially those concerning the EU or its elites, usually go in one direction: under the carpet. For example, the Belgian socialist, MEP and head of the Human Rights Committee in the European Parliament, Maria Arena, is widely shunned. It doesn’t matter that her name still appears in testimonies, wiretaps and documents, and bags containing 250,000 PLN were found in her son’s possession. euros. It doesn’t matter that Qatar financed her travels, just as Morocco financed her and her son’s travels. She even attended one with Panzeri. Arena is doing well, and probably she only felt sorry when it turned out that her son was doing business with the son of the chief investigator – judge Michel Claise, as a result of which he had to be removed from the case.

So it is probably naive to hope that anything will change without overthrowing the EU system, without driving out this corrupt caste and gang. Look again who was on the board of Fight Impunity, Panzeri’s NGO. And it is foolish to turn to some Eurocrats with complaints that there is an attack on the media in Poland, that rights are being violated and that democracy is in danger. I have already written about it – it is devoid of dignity, but above all it is stupid and pointless. You don’t go to a thief to complain about being robbed.
