Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky had a telephone conversation with the head of the British government, Rishi Sunak. The Ukrainian president announced this on his Telegram channel.
Zelensky said he told Sunak that Russian troops had fired at least 500 missiles and drones at Ukraine in the past five days.
Zelensky thanked Britain for its “significant and diverse contributions” to the strength of Ukraine’s air defense, especially with advanced anti-drone systems and missiles. He and Sunak discussed ongoing defense cooperation between the countries, focusing on further strengthening the air defense and long-range capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF).
The President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Great Britain described the work on the bilateral agreement on security guarantees for Kiev within the framework of the Vilnius Declaration of the G7 countries as productive.
