The Consulate General of India in San Francisco condemned the desecration of the Sri Swaminarayan Mandir Hindu temple in Newark, California. This was reported by TASS.
The outer wall of the temple was covered with anti-Indian graffiti that may have been made by activists advocating the creation of an independent state of Khalistan in the Indian state of Punjab.
“We have requested the US authorities to initiate an immediate investigation and take immediate action against the vandals,” India’s diplomatic mission said.
Newark law enforcement launched an investigation into the vandalism.
