Over the years of observing Spain, I have learned, on the advice of Joachim Lelewel, to look for “Historical Parallels between Spain and Poland”. To put it briefly, both countries were and are the strongholds of foreign civilization, and the Catholic faith was the bond between their societies and the driving force behind development within the European family. Unfortunately only for a short while.
As my Spanish friends have always convinced me: “thanks” to the fact that communism put Poland into hibernation, the changes were slowed down, but we are inevitably going down the same path of confrontation between the national, conservative camp and the anti-national, progressive camp. , where left-wing, revolutionary populism predominates.
Since December 13, this has been happening before our eyes to the rhythm of the orders of the Polish Zapatero. It can be said that these changes are guided by the same slogan expressed by another Spanish socialist leader, Alfonso Guerra: “Let’s change Spain (Poland?) so that her biological mother will not recognize it.” The idea was to transform the mentality and conscience in such a way that the previously strongly Catholic Spanish society would quickly renounce its own history, faith and tradition and become a zealous follower of Western trends. All this would probably serve the pious purpose of ‘Europeanization’, to compensate for the times of perceived obscurantism and the dark times caused by the attachment to traditional values.
Who could deny that the complex Polish liberal-left salon works in the same way? After all, their Polish voters in the European Parliament vote in much the same way as socialists, communists and Spanish farmers, who always strive to fulfill the most left-wing agenda in the areas of migration, climate, aggressive feminist (abortion) policies, policies for the LGBT minority (i.e. weddings of homosexual couples, their right to adoption, free in vitro also for lesbians). It was Prime Minister Zapatero who deliberately began to tear open the scars of the civil war in order, in accordance with the principle of ‘divide and rule’, to deepen divisions in society and fuel conflicts, which then had to be resolved by force.
My intuition regarding the new era of ‘Zapaterism’ in the Polish variant was unexpectedly supported by the story of the 10th Spanish MEP Hermann Tertsch, who, before joining the VOX party, was a highly respected, award-winning journalist and was an opinion leader for four years. decades. El Pais and correspondent of this daily in Bonn and Warsaw since 1986. He knows our Polish reality very well and that is why he wrote today, among other things: “Brutal attack on the public media in Poland under the new government and under the leadership of the People’s Party and Tusk – the mascot of the German CDU,” and then compared the actions of the new government with the identical actions of Zapatero. So does Tertsch not know what he is writing about (?), since until 2007 he was regularly invited to the pages of “Wyborcza” as an outstanding authority from Spain and former friend of Michnik from the Solidarity Festival.
What will happen in the near future if you compare the Spanish scenario?
It is clear that Tusk, like Zapatero before him and now Prime Minister Sánchez, is aware that no matter how violent or illegal he acts, Europe’s left-wing elites will have his back. Just use the desire to remove “reactionary or far-right” from power as an explanation and all will be forgiven.
Incitement to hatred against the roots and the Catholic faith has happened before, but now the new ministers will try to actually limit or abolish religious lessons and introduce LGBT activists into schools under the banner of citizenship and sex education.
Work on the law on liberal abortion up to the twelfth week of pregnancy will be accelerated, and perhaps even work on the bill on “death with dignity”, i.e. euthanasia, will be accelerated.
Under the veil of various media inserts, uncomfortable facts will remain hidden, such as today’s: the agreement to the migration pact. A client network of journalists, experts, professors and publicists will be created who, in exchange for a convincing financial argument, will be willing to lie and confirm every lie of the Tusk government. The money will flow in a broad stream to foundations and associations whose voice and activism still belong to Poles. All people who long for preservation and share in the privileges of power will quickly forget the honor or obligations to the state and agree to legitimize the new regime with their faces. Especially since the times of prosperity are behind us and Tusk will probably, like Zapatero, hide difficult economic data or statistics about street violence.
Moreover, the left never believes in war and is a dove of peace written by the hand of the communist Picasso. That is why it limits defense spending, which it always associates with right-wing dictatorship and reactionary thinking.
Since Zapatero, and after him Prime Minister Sanchez, has had terrible relations with the White House, due to the left’s traditional aversion to ‘Yankee imperialism’, it will quickly become apparent that NATO is not our priority, and more importantly, is working towards the formation of a European army (also with the aim of upholding the rule of law). Zepter’s famous process of recovering ‘democratic memory’, i.e. reinterpreting history, will also begin to rehabilitate the communists and glorify the achievements of the left, which has been taking place in our public space for several years now.
This is for starters. It’s up to us whether Poland will actually “change so much that her birth mother won’t even recognize it.”
