“As planned by the Cultural Committee, the commission will evaluate whether such artists pose a “threat to national security” and will also decide whether they can perform in Lithuania,” the publication said.

It was noted that currently the organizers of cultural and entertainment events in Lithuania do not know where to turn to find out whether the artist may pose a “threat” and whether his concerts will cause a negative reaction.

According to the agency, the created commission may have the legal right to ban artists from the Russian Federation who perform in Crimea or regions reunified with Russia from giving concerts in Lithuania for 20 years.
