I’m sure it’s not about justice or explaining anything. It’s about grilling the United Right. That’s all, and the thought will remain in the minds of Poles that things in Poland were really bad under the previous governments. The Postal Elections Commission of Inquiry has chosen its presidency. Chairman Dariusz Joński immediately went on a mission to protect party friends.
First of all, a reflection on the participation of PiS MPs in this committee. I hear voices that they should boycott it and not participate in it. I tend to disagree. There was no reason to oppose the creation of the commission (it would have been created anyway), and participation in it may prove to be a great success for the truth, which is not so convenient for the current majority.

The Commission will act on the basis of facts and documents, I do not expect any deceit here
– said Chairman Joński immediately after being elected to the Presidium. This rhetoric, which may be coincidental today, is confusing. Why ‘juggle’? Where do such associations come from? And it’s not the first time. After all, Borys Budka, the then head of KO, said in May 2020, when he was happy about blocking the elections in the Sejm: “we blocked this circus.”
It seems that this thread will be the most important in the work of the committee. The financial aspect – the amount of PLN 70 million thrown away or mixed with unused ballots is staggering. Correct, this money was spent unintentionally because the goal – elections – was not achieved. But let us continue to ask why and for whose reasons the elections were not held, and therefore why and for whose reasons this money was inadvertently spent. Simple? Oh yeah! And the President already believes that the commission, created on the wave of hatred that united this majority, will not necessarily be a success. And the only thing that can be considered as such is the humiliation of PiS.

The committee members recommended by PiS logically request hearings from people who publicly boasted that they had blocked the postal elections on May 10, 2020.
So what does President Joński do to avoid getting into trouble? He makes procedural contortions to scare away the specter of interrogation from his friends. And it supposedly talks about an extraordinary acceleration of work, but in fact it slows it down. Presumably only until Friday, but what does that mean in reality? That the committee’s work plan will then be drawn up and the first hearings will not take place this year. This is what the President can give Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, Tomasz Grodzki or Rafał Trzaskowski: a peaceful Christmas. Because once they appear before the commission, the peace will end.

Because that is actually what this committee is about. About those who, guided by party interests and given the plummeting ratings of the ‘real president’, did everything they could to prevent elections from taking place while the candidate was changed. They passed then, so don’t let them say today that it wasn’t them.
The work of this committee will be a spectacle, but probably not the spectacle that Tusk’s voters expect. It had to be fast, precise and brutal, and it could turn out that we will witness a very beautiful disaster.
