The Russians are blocking sea exports because they know it will cause hunger and raise food prices, and this will increase the influx of migrants to southern Europe. Moscow wants to bring Europe into a multidimensional crisis – Deputy Prime Minister, PiS head Jarosław Kaczyński said in an interview, excerpts of which will be published by Monday’s GPC.
President of PiS ruthless! “If Poland’s interests are at stake, Donald Tusk is against”
†Gazeta Polska Codziennie “published excerpts from the interview of the weekly magazine” Gazeta Polska “with the head of PiS, in which he says, among other things: about the main challenges in the war in Ukraine and its possible consequences and the current situation in Poland.
Inflation is one of the biggest challenges
The PiS president, when asked by the weekly about the biggest challenge outside the war in Ukraine, indicates that “this is undoubtedly inflation”.
We face an all-important question: will we be able to contain inflation during the months separating us from the election, while at the same time easing those hardest hit. That is why we are on the right track – because on the one hand we are fighting inflation and on the other we are taking protective measures, which do not always go in the same direction. In the West, the battle is being fought by limiting people’s purchasing power, and this is likely to yield results fairly quickly. Wage growth there is much lower than inflation. We cannot follow this path as it would be much more tangible for Poland. We are not going to limit the benefits, we will lower taxes from 1 July. We have to explain this situation well to the voters and that is why we are going to Poland
– says Jarosław Kaczyński.
The PiS president also analyzes the public debate in Poland.
The media is still a mighty ball at the foot of our public debate. We have a total opposition, backed by equally total media that can create a counter-reality that people believe in. In Russia, the media feeds the people with messages that have nothing to do with reality, even if it’s brutal and gross denial, and we also have media that works at least the same way. You don’t have to look far. One of the television stations, several newspapers and several portals constantly present us as a party that supports Putin. We conduct the most effective energy independence policy in Europe from Russia, we support Ukraine by all means in its fight against Russia, including the large-scale transfer of arms and everything necessary, and they say we are allies of the Kremlin. This is what Russian propaganda works and we see these Russian standards in certain media
– says Jarosław Kaczyński.
The PiS president reveals that Kukiz’15 will likely disappear from PiS’ electoral lists. The politicians agreed on this issue, although, as the United Right leader says, “specific negotiations are still ahead of us”.
Donald Tusk .’s Attitude
In another excerpt of the interview, Jarosław Kaczyński refers to the statement by the head of the Civic Platform, Donald Tusk, about the transportation of Ukrainian grain. The PO leader said that part of the Ukrainian grain must be transported through Poland, incl. to the countries of North Africa, it can remain in our country and can be sold more cheaply, which will be unfavorable for Polish farmers.
I’m not surprised. (..) Whenever Poland’s vital interests are at stake, Tusk is against. Very often his position coincides with Russian propaganda. This is also the case this time. However, it is important that our farmers know that this grain does not pose a threat to them. The recipients are located in North Africa and the Middle East. The Russians are blocking sea exports because they know it will cause hunger and raise food prices, which in turn will intensify the influx of migrants to southern Europe. Moscow wants to cause chaos on our continent and lead Europe into a powerful, multidimensional crisis. It is in the interest of the Republic of Poland to prevent this. There is no gray in this case – you can be on the good side or on the bad side. Tusk is behind the latter
– says Kaczyński in an interview for the weekly magazine Gazeta Polska.
†Gazeta Polska Codziennie “adds that the interview with Jarosław Kaczyński, which will be available from Wednesday in the weekly magazine “Gazeta Polska”, covers many geopolitical and political issues.
