Barbara Nowacka, Minister of Education in Donald Tusk’s government, signed the resignation of Barbara Nowak from the position of education inspector in Lesser Poland. Gabriela Olszowska became acting curator of education for Lesser Poland.
Olszowska for Nowak
Barbara Nowacka went to Krakow to inquire about the dismissal of the education inspector of Lesser Poland, Barbara Nowak. She will be replaced by Gabriela Olszowska.
I am very happy that we can put an end to the dark time for education in Małopolska
– said Nowacka at a press conference organized at the Małopolska Voivodeship office
The minister announced that the remaining fifteen dismissals of education inspectors will take place at the end of this year. She pointed out that “peace must be restored to education in Małopolska.”
We need to remind teachers and principals that what they do for the school is usually good
– she added.
The new voivode of Lesser Poland, Krzysztof Klęczar, in turn stated that curator Barbara Nowak was “the personification, the symbol of everything that Poles said ‘no’ to in the last parliamentary elections.”
It was a symbol of contempt, the dominance of ideology over common sense, but also a symbol of an absolute lack of respect for other people.
– he assessed.
Olszowska emphasized that the education inspector should be a guardian, not a “accuser.”
I like to work, I think I know many areas. I will definitely get help because it is guaranteed
– she added.
Children, people involved in education, parents, student councils, teachers, directors, we can support each other and we will solve our problems
– said Olszowska.

Who is Barbara Nowak’s successor?
Twitter/X users drew attention to the current ‘performance’ of the acting inspector of education from Małopolska.
Anyone who can and can afford it would be better off taking their children out of public schools
– wrote Konrad Kołodziejski.
Gabriela Olszowska, new education inspector in Małopolska. What was their slogan before the election? Should education be apolitical?
– added MP Dariusz Matecki, recalling the submissions of the new curator of Małopolska.
The new curator, who replaced Barbara Nowak in this position, wrote two months ago: ‘No more curators, since 1953 as an apparatus of blunt supervision, which fired many pre-war teachers and principals – the forms of repressive-obsessive-oppressive control that developed spread in some places in Poland”
– recalled Radosław Poszwiński.
In another article, Olszowska declared that her Poland was “the Poland of Wałęsa, Frasyniuk, Bartoszewski, Tusk, Geremek, Mazowiecki, Owsiak”.
The figure of Gabriela Olszowska also appeared in the Krakow “Gazeta Wyborcza”. The article dated November 3, 2016 described her actions as director of Junior High School No. 2. Olszowska came into conflict with the mother of one of the students and published all correspondence about the case on the Internet. She did not delete the personal information of the woman and the child and wrote about the mother that “she needs to be treated.”
Olszowska was suspended, appeared before the teacher disciplinary committee and received a reprimand with warning.
Olszowska also spared no criticism of Barbara Nowak on social media.
Someone who has not contributed in any way to improving the quality of the database is hiding behind the actions of the local government. He joins himself – that is impertinence. Someone who graduated from high school – one of those who arranged the only modern Polish school. A person who hurt a lot of people…
There is also no shortage of posts on her social media expressing dissatisfaction with the rule of law and justice and sympathy for the coalition led by Donald Tusk.
And this is just the beginning of the “cleanup” organized by Barbara Nowacka.
