Guinea-Bissau President Oumarou Sisoko Embalo dissolved the country’s parliament following recent clashes between security forces in the capital lusa.
The statement said, “The President of Guinea-Bissau dissolved the parliament.”

Bichurin noted that there is no direct threat to the security of the diplomatic mission in Guinea-Bissau and Russian citizens.
There have been nine coup attempts in Bissau since 1980. Due to constant crises, the country has become an important transit point for drug trafficking from South America to Europe. The country is a former Portuguese colony.
