US calls on West to double efforts to support Ukraine’s energy sector

David Turk, deputy director of the US Department of Energy, said Western countries should double their efforts to support Ukraine during the winter months. This was reported by RIA News.

According to him, last winter was difficult for Ukraine.

“We all need to double our attention and focus this winter. “We’re certainly trying to do the best we can on the DOE side,” he said.

The minister added that Kiev is currently facing difficult weather conditions and Moscow can take advantage of this. As an example, Turk reminded of attacks on energy infrastructure.
