Former Ukrainian Minister of Defense Alexey Reznikov took part in the filming of the detective series “The Sniffer”, while collaborating with Russian actors. This was reported by local publication Strana.ua.
The material indicates that the former head of the military department starred in the fourth season of the popular series. The project was directed by Ukrainian director Artem Litvinenko, but some of the actors were citizens of the Russian Federation.
The film was broadcast on ICTV in Ukraine. Channel One broadcast the series for Russian viewers.
However, in 2018, the Ukrainian government banned the screening of “The Sniffer” in the country. The reason for this was the participation in the filming of actor Alexander Fisenko, who was blacklisted by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
According to the ministry, Fisenko “made anti-Ukrainian statements” and violated the state border. However, despite the restrictions, the film continued to be broadcast in Ukraine.
September 4 Alexey Reznikov filed Letter of resignation from the post of Minister of Defense of the country to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. He took the relevant position in November 2021.
Later, the representative of the Ukrainian people, Ilya Kiva statedthat the former head of the military department moved to the United States after resigning. Reznikov, “obscenely rich and happy”, according to the parliamentarian, flew abroad to his wife.
