I am a novice when it comes to investigative committees, see who was summoned to them most often, so that I can instruct some new members on how to perform their duties – former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro told journalists in the Sejm.
Yesterday, the Sejm debated draft resolutions on the creation of investigative committees for Pegasus, for envelope elections and for the so-called visa scandal. The projects were forwarded to the Legislative Commission for further work.
Minister Ziobro’s routine
When the leader of Sovereign Poland, a former Minister of Justice, was asked by journalists in the Sejm whether Sovereign Poland would participate in investigative commissions, he replied that “there would be a hundred particulars for Poland, and there is an announcement of a circus, but the circus can also be part of politics.”
I have the most experience, you could say, I am a novice when it comes to investigative committees. Check who has been called to them most often. I think I can share my experiences with the new members of the investigative committees
– added.
Ziobro recalled that he was also “mostly unsuccessfully dismissed by Civic Platform from the office of minister.”
I also have a lot of experience, I will be able to instruct some new members of investigative committees, give a lesson in how to perform their duties, it will also be fun
– he said.
When asked if he was afraid of hearings before the investigative committee, he replied that “those who will sit on investigative committees with the intention of detecting irregularities, because there were none, will have stage fright.”
Everyone will find out when these committees start
– he explained.
When asked about the Pegasus Commission, he explained that “the Pegasus system is used by many democratic countries in Europe and beyond, for example the United States and Israel.”
It is a system that allows legal oversight of those who use instant messaging. Unfortunately, the criminal world uses not only analog telephones, not only telephones in the GSM network, but also switched to instant messengers and previous eavesdropping systems at the disposal of democratic countries are ineffective, the state would be deaf and criminals would rub their fingers hands
– said Ziobro.
““Toothless State”
In his opinion, “The Platform therefore wants to eliminate this type of instruments, it wants the state to be toothless, it wants to eliminate the CBA, to take revenge for the effective functioning of this service in the fight against the corruption of people in power, the previous, who is now coming back to power.”
I would like to remind you that Mr. Donald Tusk’s best friend, a watch specialist, Mr. Sławomir (Nowak), came across, among other things: thanks to CBA and Pegasus. That’s why they want revenge. Revenge is their nature, but it will be exposed
– he assessed.
Ziobro was also asked about using Pegasus to monitor KO Senator Krzysztof Brejza.
Do you think that if one is a politician, there is no temptation to commit crimes? Is this a guarantee that he will always be honest? Is he above the law? Should those in the spotlight be treated better, unlike ordinary citizens who commit crimes?
-He asked.
Politicians are the same citizens and people, they should not be treated as privileged just because they have immunity and because they are friends of Donald Tusk. The law is therefore equal for everyone and this is a good message for the investigative committees. I will take part in it with great pleasure
– he said.
