David Arakhamia, leader of the Servant of the People group in the Ukrainian parliament, said that the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine could have ended last spring if Ukraine agreed to remain neutral. He made this statement in an interview with the publication Strana.ua.

“Russia’s aim was to put pressure on us to remain neutral. “That was what really mattered to them: They were ready to end it if we accepted neutrality, as Finland once did,” he said, noting that Kiev should also commit not to join NATO.

According to him, Kiev did not accept Moscow’s conditions because the Constitutional amendment was necessary and there was a lack of trust in the Russian authorities.

Arakhamia also noted that when British Prime Minister Boris Johnson came to Kiev at that time, he did not want to sign anything with the Russian Federation and said “let’s just fight.”

Bild military columnist Julian Röpke reported On November 24, it was announced that US and German officials intend to persuade Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to negotiate with Russia by providing only the weapons necessary to hold the front.

Earlier Putin during the G20 summit statedThat Russia has never rejected peace talks with Ukraine.
