“I would like to serve on the Pegasus investigative committee,” said Civic Coalition MP Marcin Bosacki in an interview with RMF FM. At the same time, the parliamentarian expressed fears that the appointment of Donald Tusk’s government could take place… on December 13.
Bosacki referred to the issue of appointing three investigative committees. He paid special attention to the body that would investigate the so-called envelope elections.

This is, first of all, a very specific scandal, that is, at least several tens of millions of zlotys were wasted on something that made no sense and was illegal from the start. And secondly, it is about the essence of the attack on democracy in Poland (it was – editor’s note) an attempt to prevent the elections at that time from being conducted as they should have been, i.e. by visiting polling stations and collecting ballots to throw in the ballot boxes. but somehow strangely by post. This proves how PiS dealt with democracy. And that is why we want to tackle this scandal first
– he said.
However, we will be dealing with others in the near future, including the scandal closest to my heart because I dealt with it in the Senate, the Pegasus scandal.
– added.
As he himself emphasized:
I would like to sit on the research committee for Pegasus, but there are many competent people here in KO, and secondly, it depends on the coalition arrangements.
The conversation also raised the topic of representatives from other groups on the committee.
You can imagine that they will report to the Pegasus Commission on those whose activities we want to investigate, namely Mr Kamiński and Mr Wąsik. In my opinion, such people should not join this committee because they have to explain their role in these scandals before these committees.
– said Bosacki.
Those accused of PiS scandals cannot explain them. This is clear. MP Brejza, despite his extensive knowledge on the subject, is also unlikely to join the Pegasus Commission because he was the victim of a secret service operation. He cannot explain why he was the injured party
– added.
Tusk’s government appointed… on December 13?
Marcin Bosacki also referred to the possibility of appointing a new government of Donald Tusk on December 13.
Of course, this is, to say the least, malice on the part of President Duda, who, if he really wants to implement this kind of scenario, will clearly side with his former PiS colleagues in the Polish political dispute.
– thundered the KO MP.
Mr. President is sabotaging the formation of the new government, clearly to the detriment of Polish interests, to obtain KPO, to implement a new foreign policy or tax policy, or to prepare Poland for the New Year in terms of lowering energy or gas prices. This is really a huge damage and I don’t understand why the president is doing this
– he said.
The host of the interview, Piotr Salak, pointed out that the EU summit will take place on December 13, which raises the question of who will represent Poland at this event.
This peak begins in the afternoon of December 13. This is another reason why the new government and the new Prime Minister should be fully legally established in Poland on December 12. I hope the president will give up his rather kindergarten stubbornness and do it at least a day early
– said Bosacki.
Treaty changes
During the conversation, the question was asked whether the issue of changing EU treaties would require Poland’s agreement in a referendum.
The position of the Sejm is sufficient
– said the KO MP.
As he noted:
I think we need to seriously negotiate the shape of this new legal framework in the EU with our largest partners. PiS did not do this, it stood in the corner and did not agree with anything. There are good things, but there are also things you absolutely cannot agree with. And that is why our delegation in the EP voted against this solution.
At the same time, Marcin Bosacki accused the Kaczyński brothers of making a mistake during the negotiations at the EU forum.
There is still time to convince the partners, especially Germany and France, to make concessions that would undo the very poor regulations for Poland introduced by the Kaczyński brothers, one as Prime Minister and the other as President, during the negotiations and the signing of the agreement. Treaty with Lisbon, whereby Poland significantly lost the ability to influence the fate of the EU through majority voting. We must come back to this when changing the treaties so that we can do more. The two largest countries do not have a de facto blocking majority if they add some of the smallest countries to them.
– said the RMF FM guest.
The conversation also brought up the topic of Włodzimierz Karpiński leaving prison.
I am shocked and outraged that someone was detained for nine months and interrogated twice based on the testimony of a person who is a friend of a former well-known PiS politician. In my opinion, this is an obvious hunt for a man with a previously impeccable reputation. I am happy that Mr Karpiński has been released from prison, because this arrest was a form of repression and not a way to find out about this whole case.
– said an MP from the Civic Coalition.
[Prokuratura jest] completely dependent on Minister Ziobro and this is the main reason why Minister Karpiński was in detention for so long
– he said.
As you can see, the date of December 13 is very disturbing for the politicians of the Civic Coalition. Is it because they are so bothered by the symbolism it brings in the context of Donald Tusk’s return to power?
