KO MP Aleksandra Gajewska came to the Sejm with her four-year-old son, and the wprost.pl portal described the opinions of Internet users on the MP’s behavior, including critical opinions. Her colleagues from the Platform came to Gajewska’s defense, but apparently they decided to threaten the editors. “Begins. Tusk returned and the intimidation of journalists began. Keep an eye on your laptops in the newsroom,” we read in the comments.
MP Gajewska with her son in the Sejm
Aleksandra Gajewska is the mother of 4-year-old Aleksander. On Tuesday, November 14, a member of parliament from the Civic Coalition came to the Sejm with her son, who had the opportunity to see, among other things, the voting equipment. In an interview with ‘Fakt’ she described how she combines her work in parliament with her role as a mother. – Our working hours are not regulated, so sometimes we have no choice but to come to meetings with our children
— these are the first paragraphs of the text of the wprost.pl portal, which presents the whole story.
The editors also decided to quote the comments of Internet users who, in their opinion, were divided. The problem is that a critical fragment has been chosen for the title of the text:
“Is this a kindergarten?”
Schreiber: ‘There’s no point in making any sensation out of it’
Politicians from left to right, including representatives of PiS, defended Gajewska, who came to the Sejm with her child (which was previously done by other MPs and even MPs).
There is nothing wrong or shameful about it and there is no point in sensationalizing it. Questions about kindergarten are unpleasant
– said Minister Łukasz Schreiber.
If at least one man in the Sejm gave birth to a child, the issue of care would have been solved long ago
– said MP Elżbieta Zielińska emphatically.
PO politicians demand… a name
Criticism of the editing of one particular text? This is allowed. However, KO politicians called the publication “a campaign” and demanded… the name of the journalist and author of the publication.
Editorial staff of @TygodnikWPROST, please reveal the identity of the journalist who decided to write a text about @AGajewska, a campaign against mothers who come to work with children.
– wrote KO MP Kinga Gajewska.
But how? Did no one have the courage to sign this embarrassing news? Maybe editor @JMiziolek can help identify the author?
– added Paweł Graś, former “right-hand man” of Donald Tusk.
The editorial staff of the wprost.pl portal replied:
Anyone who has read the text knows that this is not a campaign against @AGajewska or mothers who come to work with children. The MP’s statements are compared with the comments of internet users
““Keep an eye on your laptops”
Déjà vu? In a way. Internet users commenting on the entries of Platform politicians referred to the famous incident when years ago, in connection with the tape scandal, the services tried to take away a laptop from journalists in the editorial office of the weekly magazine “Wprost”.
Oh oh! Begins. Tusk returned and the harassment of journalists began. Keep an eye on the laptops there in the newsroom
@TygodnikWPROST
Best! Remember that when a representative of the new government asks nicely, you must quickly turn away everyone you need, otherwise Smiling Poland will knock on your door like it used to on the door of the Wprost editorial office.
Textual criticism? Everyone has the right to do that, that’s clear! But where are the Platform’s beautiful and sublime slogans about ‘free media’?
