“There have been two tests for the foreign service in recent months: organizing parliamentary elections and referendum elections abroad, and we have succeeded brilliantly. The second example of a challenge we overcame was the evacuation,” Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau emphasized.
A meeting was organized at the presidential palace on Thursday to mark Foreign Service Day. Present were, among others: President Andrzej Duda and Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau.
The Foreign Service is the service of the Polish state speech, which amounts to the survival and survival of the Republic of Poland in prosperity and development.
Rau emphasized.
As he added: “in our political constellation, in order to best serve the cause of the state, we cannot and do not have the right to succumb to the temptation of isolationism, which is more than obvious, or the temptation of passivity.”
Responsibility for the future
We must take responsibility for our future in an activist way, in a truly assertive way
– he said.
Rau pointed to two tests of the foreign service, especially the consular service, in recent months.
The first is to organize parliamentary and referendum elections abroad. It was a huge effort, one that many quarters predicted would fail. It worked fine
– emphasized the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The second example of such a challenge, which our consular service in particular has faced, is the spectacular evacuation, which we started virtually on October 7 this year. It is not yet finished, but it is a nice showcase of our consular services
– he emphasized.
