The Supreme Court has not allowed the waiver of Judge Maciej Nawacki’s immunity as requested by Judge Paweł Juszczyszyn. “Politicians make the law, not judges. Judges apply the law. There is no crime without a statute,” Zbigniew Korzeniowski, chairman of the jury, said today.
The Supreme Court did not agree to lift Judge Maciej Nawacki’s immunity. Judge Pawel Juszczyszyn demanded this. Judge Zbigniew Korzeniowski at the Supreme Court, who ruled in the case today, referred to the Constitution of the Republic of Poland.
Paweł Juszczyszyn wants to prosecute Maciej Nawacki for allegedly preventing him from delivering a verdict. The decision to suspend the judge was issued by the now defunct Disciplinary Chamber. The court’s decision is invalid.
