US announces reduced ability to provide aid to Ukraine 03:09

Assistant to the President for National Security Jake Sullivan said Washington’s ability to provide assistance to Ukrainian officials is shrinking day by day because Congress has not appropriated additional funds for these purposes. His words in the briefing were quoted as follows: TASS.

“Every week it becomes increasingly difficult for us to fully fund what we believe is necessary to provide Ukraine with the tools and capabilities it needs to defend and attack its own territory,” Sullivan said.

The United States has the capacity to provide military aid to Ukraine, but Washington could do so “on a more sustainable basis” if full funding is received, according to one of the American leader’s aides.
