“I am surprised that Marshal Hołownia only welcomed his supporters, although he had the opportunity to address everyone,” said Marek Jurek, Marshal of the Sejm of the fifth term, in an interview with wPolityce.pl.
Marek Jurek commented in this way on the speech of today’s elected Chairman of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia.
The marshal surprised me by not greeting all the leaders of political groups. He thanked those who supported his candidacy, but did not take the opportunity to thank them for participating in the elections
– Marek Jurek noticed.
At the same time, introduce yourself in your new role and greet all parliamentary leaders. Maybe he’ll get a chance to make amends. I have no further comment on this matter
– he noted in an interview with wPolityce.pl.
In turn, he responded positively to the speech of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.
The president gave a very good speech. Perhaps the best of its period
– he assessed.
The formula that he respects the mandate of the new majority and expects respect for the mandate entrusted to him by the voters and the Constitution was very accurate. The announcement of the government’s achievements over the past eight years was very accurate. It was an important political act
– added.
265 MPs voted for the leader of Poland 2050, while the current chairman of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek, received 193 votes. 459 deputies took part in the vote to elect the chairman of the Sejm.
