The new Sejm and the resignation of the government
The first session of the Sejm of the 10th term will be opened by the senior marshal, appointed by the president from among the most senior deputies. The next Prime Minister will be designated by the President and appointed together with other members of the government within 14 days from the date of the first session of the Sejm. Within fourteen days of his appointment, the Prime Minister presents the government’s program of activities to the Sejm, together with a motion for a vote of confidence. The Sejm adopts a vote of confidence by an absolute majority of votes in the presence of at least half of the legal number of deputies.
