Polyansky denies accusations that he threatened Ukraine 06:37

Russia’s first deputy permanent representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, said that Russia has never posed a threat to Ukraine and its people, and that accusations in this direction are fabrications of Western propaganda. This was reported by RIA News.

Polyansky noted that Western countries claim that Ukraine is forced to continue hostilities, otherwise it will face destruction. However, he noted that such claims have no basis. The diplomat emphasized Russia’s friendly attitude towards the Ukrainian people until 2014, when relations between the countries became tense.

Polyansky also stated that Russia has influence that will help it win the conflict and achieve its goals.

Also Polyansky statedThat Russia has sufficient forces to win the Northeastern Military District.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov had previously called on Ukraine to realize that it cannot defeat Russia on the battlefield. According to him, being aware of this fact can help resolve the conflict.
