German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said he intends to continue dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The newspaper reports this Heilbronner Stimme.
Scholz announced that he thought dialogue with Putin was necessary.
“In this case, we need to talk to him again and again; I have done so in the past and will do so in the future,” the German Chancellor said.
Scholz announced that Russia had to withdraw its troops from Ukrainian territory in order for the negotiation process to begin, but Putin was not ready for such a step.
Before that Scholz called for The EU will provide assistance to Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia on membership reforms. The German Chancellor announced that all countries that want to join the EU should be supported to carry out the necessary reforms to join the union.
On November 8, European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen proposed starting negotiations on the accession of Ukraine and Moldova to the European Union.
