In Poland, many people believe in the fairy tale about good Germans. In fact, the Germans spoke dominantly about Poland. We also heard it from the leaders of this country, said PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński during his speech in Krakow.
Kaczyński recalled that the Germans were against Poland’s admission to NATO.
In 1989, the Germans did not want to recognize our borders – they were forced to do so, among other things. by Americans. It was Germany that did not want Poland in NATO
– he said.

“Our part of Europe goes to Germany”
During his speech at the headquarters of KSTG “Sokół” in Krakow, the head of PiS listed the threats that may arise in connection with a possible change of European treaties. As he argued, changes in the governance of the European Union will lead to the Community’s two largest countries – France and Germany – gaining a dominant position.
This dominance will undoubtedly be geographically distributed. Our part of Europe goes to Germany, the more southern part of Europe to France. Both countries had in their history the tendency to create a situation in which they would dominate in Europe, and both – at different stages of history – succeeded in doing so.
– said Jarosław Kaczyński.
In his speech, the PiS president pointed out, among other things: for changes that make it easier to implement the procedure of Art. 7 of the Treaty on European Union regarding the violation of the rule of law and the conviction of the State in this case. Kaczyński emphasized that this is “the stick they use against Poland.”
According to Jarosław Kaczyński, after amending the treaties, this procedure will be “incomparably easier than now” to be launched, and the penalties will only be economic.

The president also criticized the proposal to limit the number of commissioners to fifteen people, meaning that not every member state will have one. Kaczyński added that they could also be dismissed by the European Parliament.
Keeping the EU countries, the non-dominant countries, in line, will – you could say – be fully assured at different levels, using different methods.
– he said.
