The opposition coalition agreement contained a provision on the liquidation of the CBA. An excerpt was added there stating that citizens have the right to information about “the interests of the services in them”. Will this record be used by criminals, among others?
The agreement initialed on Friday by the leaders of PO, PSL, Poland 2050 and New Left states that the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau will be liquidated and its resources and powers transferred to other services, including the anti-corruption crimes department of the Central Criminal Investigation Bureau of the police
– was included in the coalition agreement of the current opposition.
Citizens will have the right to information about the interests that the services have in them, and in particular to information about the operational control exercised therein
– added.
How could operational control over persons suspected of committing a crime be effective if such a controlled person could be directly informed or asked whether operational control is being carried out over him or her, and if this is confirmed, he could deliberately behave in such a way that the services do not discover any irregularities?
