“‘True virtue is not afraid of criticism. Let the offense groan and suffer.” The documents are public. Just read them,” Paweł Mucha wrote on the X platform, referring to the text entitled “Mucha’s Byzantium at the NBP,” published on the website Salon24.pl.
According to the author of the text, Mucha is the only member of the board of directors who does not oversee one department on behalf of the NBP president.
In practice, this means that the bank does nothing
– writes the author.
Presumably the reason for this is Mucha’s conflict with the NBP board of directors over his pay and other privileges, combined with Mucha’s enormous ambitions, which apparently even include running for the next presidential election. Despite significant competence gaps and little experience in the economic and banking fields, Mucha is fighting for a radical increase in his salary to the level of President Marta Kightley and would like to take over her role as first vice president of the NBP, which will provide higher pay, bonuses, awards and representative positions, including the opportunity to appear in the media and at international meetings
– we are reading.
A short response to the text was posted by the NBP news agency and Paweł Mucha himself.
In response to the following questions from TVP Info, but also from other media (in response to the article from Salon24 “Mucha’s Byzantium at the NBP”), we have provided the following answers today:
“Does Paweł Mucha, member of the NBP Board of Directors, have supervision over departments at NBP and what is the scope of his duties?” NBP response: Mr. Paweł Mucha, Member of the Board of Directors, does not supervise the NBP departments.
“Did Mr Paweł Mucha, through his representative, apply to the National Bank of Poland for payment of outstanding bonuses/prizes and what were the reasons for suspending the payment of prizes?” NBP Response: There is no such thing as backlog bonuses/rewards, as they are discretionary and closely related to job performance, and not mandatory.
“Did Mr. Paweł Mucha, as a member of the NBP Board of Directors, submit official letters addressed to members of the Monetary Policy Council, and what were they about?” NBP response: Yes, Governing Council member Mr. Paweł Mucha sent letters to the members of the Monetary Policy Board.
“True virtue, the critic is not afraid. Let the transgression sigh and suffer.” The documents are public. Just read them. And no matter what posts we read on “blogs”, comments on these posts with links to content that violates personal rights, in the end the law and the facts will remain.
– wrote Mucha himself.
