Saudi Arabian Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz al-Faleh said that despite the current conflict with Palestine, normalization with Israel is still being discussed. Al-Faleh put it this way: Bloomberg New Economic Forum.
“These discussions took place, and His Highness the Crown Prince made it clear that the progress of these talks is directly tied to the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue. This issue was on the table and is still on the agenda,” he said.
He added that the current tragic events in the Gaza Strip and Israel only confirm Riyadh’s perspective on the Palestinian issue, and that the solution to this problem should be part of a larger normalization in the Middle East region.
Al-Faleh also rejected the idea of using oil price controls as a way to end the conflict between Israel and Palestine. The minister said that Saudi Arabia’s goal is to achieve peace in the negotiations.
