United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed concern about the rise of anti-Semitism and Islamophobia around the world, amid worsening conflicts in the Middle East. The relevant publication was published on its website page on social network X (formerly Twitter).

“I am deeply concerned about the rise of anti-Semitism and anti-Islamic intolerance. The images of suffering in the Middle East are heartbreaking and soul-shattering,” Guterres wrote.

The UN Secretary-General emphasized that “hateful speeches and provocative actions must be stopped.” He also called for finding a way to “preserve our common humanity.”
