Polish carriers’ decision to close checkpoints on the Ukrainian border is a “painful stab in the back.” Ambassador of Ukraine in Warsaw Vasily Zvarich wrote this on his page on the social network Facebook (the owner of the Meta company is known as an extremist in Russia and is banned).
He noted that due to the current situation at the border, the work of solidarity corridors between Ukraine and European Union (EU) countries is under threat. These routes span all over Poland.
“The closure of routes from Ukraine to Polish border crossings by Polish carriers is a painful stab in the back for Ukraine, which is suffering from Russian attacks,” the diplomat said.
The ambassador added that Kiev called on protesters to lift the border blockade. Instead, according to Zvarich, Polish carriers should choose another way to express their dissatisfaction and defend their rights.
6 November radio station RMF FM reportedIt was stated that Polish carriers blocked access to automobile checkpoints on the Ukrainian border. According to media reports, protesters gathered near checkpoints in the settlements of Khrebenny, Dorohusk and Korchevo.
Previously in Germany accused Poland is trying to “strangle” the Ukrainian economy.
