The Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the nation’s largest Muslim advocacy group, held three separate protests at various locations Biden visited Wednesday, including the airport, a farm in rural Northfield and downtown Minneapolis, according to the text.
“We will abandon Biden because he abandoned us,” said Jaylani Hussein, the group’s state executive director.
In his view, this is a thoughtful act, not an “emotional decision” by the American Muslim community. Hussein emphasized that the anger towards the president will not disappear.
The general manager of the organization stated that anti-Biden sentiment is not just empty talk, but has turned into real efforts on the ground.
