“From the Polish People’s Republic, via two popular parties, to the Third Way – this is the political path of Tadeusz Samborski. He has just entered the Sejm for the third time. The pro-Russian weekly ‘Myśl Polska’ is very happy – they even published his book. Because Samborski loves Russia and Belarus” – this is what oko.pres writes about Tadeusz Samborski, a PSL politician.
Tadeusz Samborski, a PSL politician, has a communist past and spent many years in Moscow – oko.press reports.
He obtained his PhD in the Russian capital. He then worked there for ten years as a press correspondent. Today he collaborates with a pro-Russian weekly and supports knowledge competitions about Russia
– writes oko.press.
The PSL spokesperson replied: “It doesn’t disqualify him.”
Samborski has been publishing articles in the pro-Russian weekly Myśl Polska for years. He even hands out the magazine at his meetings. Texts from this weekly magazine are regularly reprinted by the Russian media.
The cooperation between them and “Myśla Polska” became closer after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. Despite this, Samborski did not give up writing for this title
– informs the portal.
Communist diplomat
In recent years, Samborski also supported a knowledge competition about Russia and invited people to an exhibition of photos from Moscow. He appreciated the Ukrainians who fought at the front, but at the same time demanded the creation of monuments commemorating the “genocide of Bander” in Volhynia.
As oko.press recalls, he will sit in the Sejm for the third time.
He was previously a Member of Parliament twice: in 1993-1997 and 2001-2005. During his first term, he purged the Polish Foreign Ministry of ‘Solidarity’ diplomats (not communist ones!) and defended those from the Polish People’s Republic era. Well, he himself was a diplomat during the Polish People’s Republic
– writes the portal.
Tadeusz Samborski began his adventure with the East in 1977, when he received his PhD from the Soviet State University. Lomonosov in Moscow. Immediately afterwards he returned to Poland and started working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Polish People’s Republic. As a diplomat he represented the Polish People’s Republic in Laos.
10 years in Moscow
Returning to the country in 1983, he became a press correspondent and went to Moscow for ten years.
In the 1990s he became famous when, together with MP Tadeusz Iwiński (SLD), he founded an extraordinary subcommittee of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, which “assessed the condition of the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.” However, she assessed – extremely critically – not the communist cadres, but those appointed by Solidarity politicians after 1989.
– notes the portal.
The subcommittee prepared a report. It stated that people of solidarity descent should disappear from the Foreign Ministry, and that Polish diplomats should oppose “the implementation of the Vatican’s plans in the East.”
It is scandalous what biography can be returned to the Polish Sejm, despite the war abroad!
