“We organized a roundtable with this initiative. And this initiative is supported by everyone involved in shelters for homeless animals. It is supported by circus artists; both the head of the Russian State Circus and the Zapashnys supported this idea,” Gusev shared.
He added that he organized a vote on who could take this position, and animal rights activist Ilona Bronevitskaya won by a large margin. The deputy noted that Bronevitskaya has been dealing with the issue of animal protection for many years.
