Jarosław Bratkiewicz, a political scientist, former diplomat and graduate of the Russian MGIMO, in “Gazeta Wyborcza” again pours hectoliters of venom on the Poles, masked with learned language and literary references. ‘I have no ‘devotion’ to Poland, where PiS rules. Because the ‘PiS people’ gave it away – for ‘bread’ (‘500 plus’, thirteenth pension, etc.) and for ‘the games’ (bashing pro-European elites) – to the angry Koczkodans: with a confederal hat, a collar and a karabelka,” he writes. To make it more interesting, the article is recommended by… Adam Michnik himself.
Bratkiewicz’s previous “work”.
In his text from April this year, Jarosław Bratkiewicz, employed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1992 to 2021, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Latvia in 1997-2001, graduated from, among others, The MGIMO University in Moscow (also graduated by Sergei Lavrov – in theory the head of Russian diplomacy, in reality – one of the most zealous propagandists of the Putin regime) argued that Latin civilization came to Poland from Germany and that the attack on our country September 1, 1939 and war crimes were in fact … Hitler’s revenge on the authorities of the Second Polish Republic, who “simplified” towards the Third German Reich and counted on the worship of the Nazi regime, hoping that it would expect nothing in return. At the same time, he repeated the historic lie with which Russian war criminal Vladimir Putin regularly attacks Poland: ‘Polish participation’ in the partition of Czechoslovakia. The former diplomat also tried to question the impact of our historical experiences on the current situation in Poland (for example, on the development of our economy), essentially boiling the matter down to the fact that we should blame ourselves if ‘ anachronistic and indolent ‘ people, while Western countries have become richer. wisdom and hard work.

““Ape Man Crowd”
This time Bratkiewicz attacks again. In clever-sounding words and countless literary comparisons, he uses the most disgusting venom against Poland – especially against those who support PiS.
Already in 2006-2007, a truly ape-like group emerged in Polish politics, transcending the seriousness of state affairs and objectives. That is, the ruling PiS and the ‘Pis people’ who religiously surround this party
– writes an MGIMO graduate, reaching for Kipling’s “The Jungle Book”.
Their dignified and sovereign, impetuous and adventurous politics resembled – taken straight from Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book” – the actions of the ape people (Bandar-log). Who ‘shouted all day long and boasted that they were a great people, capable of extraordinary deeds’. In fact, he was ‘stupid, wicked, careless, insolent, had no shame and had only one desire: that other peoples of the forest would pay attention to him. (…) Usually he cried all day long, sang songs (…) and challenged all the peoples of the forest to fights.
– emphasizes Jarosław Bratkiewicz.
“Rude and obscurantist creature”
Fortunately, the graduate of MGIMO in Moscow sees in the “Pis people” not only monkeys, but also a reflection of the Sarmatian nobility. It is there that the author of the text in “GW” sees the pattern of “the rude and obscurantist nature of the ‘PiS people’”.
Bratkiewicz “diagnoses” (although he is not a psychiatrist, unlike Prof. Antoni Kępiński, to whom he refers) a “hysterical personality” among the Polish nobility, and then dwells on the syndrome of “primitive mentality” defined by anthropologists , which requires us to perceive and recognize that the course of earthly affairs is actively influenced by the supernatural world.
The Gnostic element in PiS theory and practice reduces the diversity of the world to frenetic clashes of good and evil
– he emphasizes, forgetting that PO leader Donald Tusk has been keen to talk about the clash of “good and evil” since his return to national politics in July 2021.
According to PiS supporters, the evil lies in our immediate environment: in Germany, the European Union, Russia, between transnational ‘leftists’ and ‘fags’. Poland of the ‘PiS type’, i.e. the Sarmatian Republic and the Sanation period of the Second Polish Republic, suffered blows from the ‘forces of evil’, who clearly overwhelmed it materially and were undoubtedly better organised. That is why PiS Poland is chaotically arming itself even as it poses threats to itself through its policies, which are as cunning as they are thoughtless. After bringing Poland into conflict with all major international partners, PiS members – as befits hysterical personalities – parade their superpower face and threaten Berlin, Brussels, Moscow, Prague and even Kiev.
– writes Bratkiewicz. Congratulate him if he considers Russia our “near neighborhood” and if he doubts that evil lurks there. In fact, today it is difficult to say that it is “lurking”, it is already working at full scale. And since we have Russia in our “near vicinity”, at least on the map, perhaps it is not about “chaotic armaments” at all, but about the current international situation. The polemic with the unjust statements of some leading Ukrainian politicians about Poland after the escalation of the grain situation can hardly be called ‘threatening’, but the funniest thing is that an experienced diplomat… puts Moscow on a par with Berlin, Brussels , Prague and Kiev.
Today on the PiS side there are idiots and thugs in national colors. The hostility they express against the intelligentsia: ‘the living room’, the ‘guts’, the ‘intelligence’ – as the beets try to ridicule them – is equivalent to the hatred that the Soviet people felt when they came into contact with the Western world: elegant, inventive, enterprising, conquering. In this way the Eurasian peoples compensate for their own backwardness, incompetence and laziness, which, thanks to ceremonial drumming and drunkenness, become genuine virtues: ours, native, of the plow
– perhaps Mr Bratkiewicz should pay attention to the way the ‘poor’ intelligentsia he is ‘mocking’ talk about the ‘PiS people’ and remind them that it actually all started with a certain slogan ‘Take Grandma’s ID with you ‘. This ‘elegant world of the West’ became famous for its slogans ‘Freedom. Equivalence. Brotherhood” led a bloody massacre. Other representatives of the “elegant world” attacked, murdered and plundered Poland in September 1939, and today, years later, they have not been held accountable for these crimes. The “elegant Western world” “civilized” Africa and America using methods for which it repents and apologizes many years later.
“Vervets in a confederation
The author of the text in “GW” compares the commission to investigate Russian influence with Stalin’s purges. He then describes his polemic on Facebook, pseudonymising the discussants after the character from “The Green Goose Theater” by Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński, but he only responds to the accusations about his training at MGIMO in Moscow… by mocking with the fact that his opponent graduated from the Academy of Catholic Theology.
Indeed, I have no ‘devotion’ to Poland, where PiS rules. Because the “PiS people” gave it away – for “bread” (“500 plus”, the thirteenth pension, etc.) and for “the games” (to attack the pro-European elites) – to the angry Koczkodans: wearing a confederate hat, a collared collar and a karabelka. Moreover, I believe that Poland under PiS has lost respect in the Western world, like a tasteless circus with strong men lifting cardboard dumbbells and trainers of pigs painted as tigers. She only received respect in the stalls to the left and right of Hermenegilda
– underlined.
And the “PiS people”, gathered in a herd that PiS grazes and led by benefactor priests, are indebted to Kaczyński – as they were to the municipality several decades ago – for the benefits of benefits and social hostels, and especially for the oppression of the ‘salon’ and ‘wise boys’. He is so grateful that he doesn’t know what to kiss the president
– he writes towards the end.
“This is the policy they want to implement again.”
Bratkiewicz’s text caused a wave of reactions. They referred, among other things, to: politicians:
@gazeta_wyborcza in the series “Adam Michnik recommends” – about PiS supporters and voters: a bunch of idiots. The author is Jarosław Bratkiewicz – an exceptional villain even by their standards. Graduated from the Soviet MGIMO, at the time the trusted man of R. Sikorski at @MSZ_RP, one of the creators of the reset policy with Russia. A few months ago he justified the Third Reich’s attack on our country – writing that it was not Poland’s fault – and added that in 1939 the Germans were shocked by Polish obscurantism and decline. That’s what these people think of you. They want to continue this policy again.
But also journalists:
Jarosław Bratkiewicz, the father of the reset with Russia, dehumanizes political opponents in Gazeta Wyborcza
And not just conservative ones.
I want to say one thing about Bratkiewicz’s text in Wyborcza: you can quote people with difficult foreign surnames, shine with erudition, move freely in the world of artifacts of European cultural heritage, and yet be nothing more than a hater and a pompous buffoon.
READ ALSO: A note from the head of the Eastern Policy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2008 has been published. How did Bratkiewicz write about Polish-Russian relations?
If Bratkiewicz’s text were read by another famous graduate of Moscow’s MGIMO, a certain Sergei Viktorovich Lavrov, he would certainly be proud. The diplomat must also be reminded that an intellectual cannot be recognized by the fact that he offends millions of people by using high-sounding words and literary references, but also by the way he relates to others.
