Hungary will propose holding a national consultation on Ukraine, migration and economic policy on its territory. Prime Minister Viktor Orban explained this on the radio kossuth.
“There is a big package of very serious, open questions on the table,” Orbán said.
He reminded that he had “already talked about Ukraine” but that immigration and economic policy were still on the agenda. The politician emphasized that it is time to “establish unity” between the views and attitudes of Hungarian citizens. Orbán proposed launching a new national consultation to discuss “serious issues,” of which there are now 10-11.
In 2022, Hungary held national consultations on sanctions, when citizens were asked to express their opinions on restrictions on the Russian Federation’s energy resources, the decrease in the number of Russian tourists and rising food prices.
