Contract negotiations must begin immediately. I hope that we will soon be ready with the first appointments. Personally, I will push for them to be hired as soon as possible. We must turn on the clock for resident Andrzej Duda – Poland 2050 leader Szymon Hołownia, told PAP.
“Negotiations on the contract must get off the ground.”
Poland 2050 chairman Szymon Hołownia told PAP that leaders of opposition groups will sit down for further coalition talks in the coming days.
We have a series of meetings planned over the coming days
– he inquired.
He pointed out that this process should have two tracks.
The first is the leaders’ discussions about the scope of responsibilities for the most important positions in the country. The second is the negotiations on a coalition agreement
– he explained. He also noted that the coalition agreement would contain concrete solutions.
Contract negotiations must begin immediately. I hope that we will soon be ready with the first appointments. Personally, I will push for them to be hired as soon as possible. We must turn on the clock for resident Andrzej Duda
– emphasized the leader of Poland 2050.
The chairman of Poland 2050 was also asked whether the leaders would sit down on Friday for further coalition talks.
We have a slightly different calendar that we don’t want to reveal so we can talk in peace. The meetings will take place in the coming days. I hope that we can start the process of reaching a coalition agreement next week
– he said. However, he admitted that politicians would be working ‘all weekend’. He assured that future coalition partners will be ready with specific arrangements much earlier than the first session of the Sejm.
The leader of Poland 2050 also pointed out that the Third Way aims to include in the coalition agreement not only the scope of responsibilities of individual groups, but also to reach agreement on specific issues, including, as he noted, economic issues, issues related concern education, safety.
Issues related to all those solutions that need to be implemented as soon as possible. People need to know what we agreed to, not just who will be who
– Hołownia noted. He also emphasized that the coalition agreement must contain twelve Third Way guarantees.
Ideological issues will not be included in this agreement
- he declared.
The leader of Poland 2050 also assured that – apart from the appointment of a candidate for the premiership – no personnel arrangements had been made.
We started with the first step because the calendar dictated that when we went to a meeting with the President, we had to have a common candidate for Prime Minister.
– he explained.
When asked about the appointment of other important positions, Hołownia emphasized that the parliamentary majority will only be stable if the parties within it share responsibility for the state and the most important positions in the state, so that “it is not a hegemony of one player” . , but balance and partnership.”
He also indicated how the areas of responsibility should be divided.
In our opinion, it is a good idea for the largest to take the position of Prime Minister and be responsible for the structure of the government, the second largest to take over the role of the Sejm, and the third to take over the role of the Sejm. Senate. However, this has not yet been the topic of our discussion, for now we have focused on the topic of the Prime Minister. But we’ll talk about it. We will talk about the next steps in the coming days
– he said.
When asked whether it was certain that there would be only one Deputy Prime Minister, Hołownia emphasized that this decision had not yet been made.
We will talk about it at the next meeting
– he pointed out. He also referred to the possibility of becoming chairman of the Sejm.
I think I have a good idea of how to make this place an open place again, vibrant with life and optimism, where discussions take place, and not a closed place, cut off from the world. Our offer is on the table, but the decision will be shared by all partners
– he said.
“This cannot be a stronghold of the ruling party.”
He added that the leaders of the Third Way are talking about taking responsibility for the Sejm.
We want to +remove barriers+, we want to let social organizations in and conduct social consultations. This cannot be the ruling party’s stronghold
– he said.
We also want to have a strong presence in the government, a strong Deputy Prime Minister in charge of one of the most important ministries, but we also have proposals on where our specialists would fit as ministers in this government. This will be the subject of our arrangements, but I assure you we will not be dissatisfied. We come to an agreement
– he assured.
Hołownia also admitted that the area of interest of his formation is also green and just transformation.
We would like to continue our activities in the area managed by Minister Anna Moskwa. We also have powers in the areas of defense, foreign affairs and education. However, what we ultimately get will be the result of the conversations we will have at the table
– he pointed. However, he noted that when it comes to specific positions, the Third Way has no preconditions.
Hołownia as Marshal, Kosiniak-Kamysz as Deputy Prime Minister
Michał Kobosko, vice president of Poland 2050, told PAP that the Third Way wants the main positions of the new coalition to reflect the “partnership and subjective arrangement between the partners.”
It cannot be the case that one party will be the dominant party. There are three parties and this is the number of seats in the current Sejm
– he said.
For us, the premise – which seems understandable – is that since Prime Minister Donald Tusk is given the mission to create a new government, – when it comes to parliament – the presidential groups should also reflect this division of forces between the governments. partners.
– he said.
We insist that the chairman of the Sejm should be Szymon Hołownia, and that the president of PSL, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, should be included in the government as deputy prime minister.
– he explained.
However, he noted that his formation did not want to talk about the division of individual positions, but only about specific issues that needed to be implemented.
This is how we want the negotiations to proceed: less about positions and more about issues
– added.
“Bigger conversations start on the weekend.
Paulina Hennig-Kloska (Vice President of Poland 2050) told PAP that the democratic opposition now faces two main tasks: preparing the first tasks for the government and controlling the current team until it gives up power.
We will soon sit around the table to negotiate a coalition agreement. We have teams working on what is important to us in this agreement and work schedules for the new administration
– she said.
She also identified areas where urgent changes are needed that teams are working on.
The priorities are simple: a budget for the coming year, which must be prepared and renovated quickly. Second, the rule of law to quickly obtain money from the KPO. And third: depoliticization of public media
– she said.
Bigger conversations start on the weekend
– she pointed.
