We will not learn the name of the future Prime Minister today; President Andrzej Duda will summarize the consultations with party leaders – Marcin Mastalerek, the head of the presidential office of the President of the Republic of Poland, said on RMF FM on Thursday.
The head of the President’s Office was asked about President Andrzej Duda’s speech scheduled for Thursday afternoon; he was asked whether the president would nominate a candidate for prime minister
Today we will not get to know the name of the future Prime Minister. Today the president will summarize the consultations with all parties and party leaders
– he answered. He emphasized that he could no longer present to the media exactly what the president would say.
I think he will tell the Poles what he said during this meeting and summarize what he heard
– added the minister.
He noted that the president had not informed him whether he had made a decision on the appointment of the future prime minister.
If he knows, he hasn’t told me yet
– said Mastalek. He stressed that a decision on the matter would be taken and presented within the constitutional deadline.
He (the President) said two things to everyone yesterday and the day before: that these consultations are serious, that he would not bother the political formations if he had already made a decision, and secondly, that nothing will be done to shorten the term of office . .
– Mast rack added.
