In the Supreme Court on Tuesday until 3:30 p.m., 92 protests related to the parliamentary elections and 110 protests against the validity of the referendum were registered – the Supreme Court’s press team told PAP.
As Karolina Truszczyńska from the Supreme Court press team told PAP, all protests registered in court so far have come from voters. She added that none of the protests submitted had yet been considered. The next protests are likely to be filed on Wednesday, October 25, as the deadline for filing them passes.
A week ago, the National Electoral Commission’s announcements on the results of the parliamentary elections, the voting results and the results of the national referendum were published in the Journal of Laws on Wednesday. Thus, the deadline for filing protests against the validity of the elections to the Sejm and Senate and for protests against the validity of the referendum began to run.
According to the regulations, election and referendum protests must be submitted in writing to the Supreme Court within seven days from the date of publication of the election and referendum results by the National Electoral Commission in the Journal of Laws.

The main way to file a protest is to file it directly with the Supreme Court, pl. Krasińskich 2/4/6 from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For the filing of protests, the Supreme Court has introduced special provisions: protests are accepted at a designated stand and in the building there are appropriate signs for people who want to file a protest.
Detailed information on the rules for filing protests – both electoral and referendum – can be found on the Supreme Court’s website.
After considering all election protests, the Supreme Court will decide on the validity of the elections and the referendum. The Supreme Court will decide on the validity of the election in open court no later than 90 days after election day. In turn, a resolution on the validity of the referendum shall be issued by the Supreme Court no later than the 60th day after the announcement of the referendum result.
