“I believe that the Lord Tusk and the entire opposition are in a hurry to get hold of the Polish state and the sinecures because they associate power. They want to take over companies from the Ministry of Finance. I would advise the opposition, led by Tusk, not to rush the president, says Adam Andruszkiewicz, Pis, in an interview with Wpolityce.pl.
Wpolityce.pl: The opposition has already stated that it is able to reach agreement on the formation of a government, although the consultation in the presidential palace has only just started. First with piss. How do you feel about it?
Adam Andruszkiewicz: I believe that the Lord Tusk and the entire opposition are in a hurry to get hold of the Polish state and the sinecures because they associate power. They want to take over state companies. I would advise the president not to rush the opposition, led by Tusk. He is the head of state that was chosen with a free mandate of more than ten million Poles and has the full right to get constitutional deadlines. Tusk can hunt Mr Budka, but he must treat Mr. President with respect. The deadlines are imposed by the Constitution of the Republic of Poland.
On the one hand, we can see respectful and friendly words of expectation that a representative of the opposition will immediately be appointed as prime minister. Is it possible for the president to act in this way?
I would not like to take the position of Mr. President, but it is a good political custom to delegate the mission of forming a government to the winning formation. I know that the opposition would really like the Poles who won the elections, but we will remind them of it. Law and justice have won the elections. There is no party like the opposition. The fact that 8 or even 10 parties try to reach an agreement is one thing, but the fact is that the winner of the Poland elections is Pis. The decision of the president must be respected if he decides to entrust the mission of forming a government to the formation that enjoys the greatest confidence of the Poles.
Will Pis be able to form a government?
I would really like that, but to be honest we have to prepare for different scenarios. Is also in the opposition. However, let’s not forget that the world will not end with these elections. Pis will work very hard to win the next elections. We have local elections and elections for the European Parliament. Then also the presidential elections. This game around Polish sovereignty has only just begun.
Is there already agreement on the fate of the opposition party?
I think it’s a piece of realism. We will do everything we can to convince all formations and members of parliament. Out of respect, however, we cannot lie against the Poles, so we clearly declare that we are ready for each scenario.
