Tomorrow – provisionally at 10 – a joint statement of three democratic opposition groups to work together on a coalition agreement and on the formation of the future government – Michał Kobosko, deputy head of Poland 2050, said on Radio Zet on Monday.
When asked whether the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau should be liquidated, he replied that “the CBA has discredited itself many times.”
In Poland there is a need for a service that deals with corruption issues – because corruption existed, is and will exist in every democratic country – but not in the form of the Central Anti-Corruption Office.
– Kobosko noted. He added that he had to transfer to another service.
He said he did not want to comment on how far the changes would go, but emphasized that “the way things are now is bad, terrible. The CBA has an absolutely tarnished image.
He emphasized that what will happen is a matter of coalition agreements. He cited the situations of the weekend and the questions from Paweł Wojunik, who noted that it was “a new stone in the garden with the title: a service that does not actually carry out activities related to the fight against corruption, but which democratic opposition is fighting,” he emphasized.
Saturday evening on TVN24, Wojtunik said that he had received information from various sources about a meeting at the CBA Training and Conference Center in Lucień (Mazovia Voivodeship), where decisions were to be made on the massive use of operational control against representatives of opposition groups. The wiretapping would last five days — which under law could happen without judicial oversight, only with the consent of the attorney general.
Kobosko noted that Paweł Wojtunik is a serious man and a professional.
In general, I take what Mr Wojtunik says very seriously
– he pointed out.
Declaration of three opposition formations
He said of the declaration of the three formations on a common government that “it is very good that the leaders of the opposition groups, even the democratic opposition, agree that tomorrow such a joint declaration, such a joint declaration, will must be taken before the consultation starts.”
Such a joint speech is scheduled for tomorrow, tentatively at 10 a.m
– said Kobosko. They will say “about the willingness of the three democratic opposition groups to work together on a coalition agreement and on the formation of the future government, whose prime minister will – of course – be Donald Tusk.”
When asked about the coalition agreement, the division of positions and what Third Way hopes for, he emphasizes that he does not want to say who will be minister of what.
First, no such decisions have been made yet
– he said.
The Ministry of Defense is currently one of the most important ministries (…) secondly, we have a situation of real threat of war and the need to carry out accelerated modernization of our army (…)
– Kobosko noted.
He also added that foreign affairs are extremely important to them “and will be one of the most important tasks of this government, apart from saving the situation with public finances.”
Kobosko said that changes compared to the so-called green transformation, with energy transformation.
This is the real challenge facing our country today. This will be an area of particular activity for the new government
– Kobosko noted.
